Grandma Flora

For this project, I was tasked to retackle a poorly executed, problematic, and outdated advertisement while communicating the same message. The ad I chose to rework was the Flora ad pictured in Figure 1, which communicated the idea that your son coming out to you as gay is as destructive as taking a bullet to your delicate heart. The two following pieces are my updated and improved ads for the campaign.

By personifying the butter brand, Flora, as a sweet and hospitable grandmother figure, this campaign emphasizes the brand’s concern for its consumers’ heart health. This campaign is photography based in efforts to emulate a grandmother’s personal touch when leaving handwritten notes for you around the house.
